Day 1 Medical Benefits

Labor & Delivery (L&D)-Questions to ask for job need. What level of trauma facility, if any, is your facility? We are not a trauma facility. How big is your facility (# of beds)? 61 bed. How is there unit set up? # of beds on the Unit? # of birthing rooms? 7 total rooms, plus the nursery. We are licensed for 11 bassinets, and 9 maternity beds. Overflow rooms available adjacent to the unit if needed. Percentage of high risk births, if any? We are a Level One Nursery, so we attempt to transfer the higher risk births to a tertiary center. Is the RN required to do ante(pre)/post partum? Yes. Is the RN required to scrub or circulate on C-sections? No (scrub to receive the neonate from sterile field only) What is the Nurse to patient ratio? We attempt to stick with AWHONN staffing guidelines.
