About the Role The Company is seeking a Data Risk Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the identification, assessment, and mitigation of potential risks related to information management, with a focus on data risk. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of risk management strategies that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. The Data Risk Manager will work closely with the Director of Data Governance to ensure the successful implementation of the Data Governance Program, including enterprise-wide compliance with data governance policies and standards. Key responsibilities include executing data risk assessments, policy gap assessments, and collaborating with various data stewards and technology teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to educate and train business partners on data risk awareness and best practices.Candidates for the Data Risk Manager position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, with a Master's degree or Data Governance certification being a plus. A minimum of 7 years of data governance or data management experience, preferably in financial services, is required, along with at least 3 years in a management role. Experience in working with stakeholders across different levels and functions is essential, and BCBS 239 experience is a bonus. The role demands a logical, structured approach to problem-solving, strong interpersonal skills, and good management abilities. The Data Risk Manager will also be involved in maintaining an accurate critical report inventory and will be expected to collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize risk mitigation efforts and establish policies to enhance data controls.
