Marshalltown Hospital is seeking a flexible and dedicated Switchboard/Security Operations Specialist to join our team on an as-needed basis. In this vital role, you will serve as the communications link between Public Safety, hospital departments, law enforcement, other community agencies, hospital leadership, staff, patients, families, and the public. Your responsibilities will include ensuring clear and efficient communication across all channels to support the safety and security of our hospital environment.

Responsibilities
  • Answer incoming calls and transfer callers to the appropriate extension.
  • Monitor the hospital CCTV for safety and security concerns.
  • Monitor alarm systems to ensure that secure conditions are maintained.
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent is required.
  • Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
  • Correspond in person, over email and phone in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Demonstrates the ability to organize and manage several tasks requiring a variety of skills, resources and time commitments.
  • Specialized or technical training in communications and/or security operations preferred.
