ACCOUNTING and FP&A MANAGER

The Accounting and FP&A Manager is responsible for contributing towards the integrity of the company's financials, participating in and executing a comprehensive set of internal controls, and accountable for day-to-day and month-end closing of the financial results of PANOS brands. In addition, the role will be the overall financial planning, performance reporting, and decision support function over the commercial aspects of the business, including Sales and Marketing. This role will partner with the Director of Finance to lead the overall business plan and strategic plan, as well as manage the forecasts and related risks & opportunities and trade-offs to help navigate the organization to deliver on targets.
In addition to regular daily accounting and financial analysis responsibilities, this position will also take the lead to:
- Execute responsibilities around month/quarter/year-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial statement preparation, including posting of journal entries and subsequent compilation of account reconciliations in support of the month-end close process Support the Director of Finance in the areas of Audit, Tax, & GAAP Compliance.
- Enforce internal controls to maximize the protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow.
- Leverage existing tools, and develop new ones, to enable Dashboarding, KPIs and overall Performance Reporting best practices within the organization; this will include leveraging NetSuite Tools and potentially other BI-type tools (i.e. Domo).
- Lead finance planning and related decisions including annual business plans, target development, financial performance reporting/analysis, cash forecasting, financial modeling and decision support for PANOS.
- Partner with Operations to translate the S&OP process into financial forecasts, including demand planning to financial forecast reconciliation/tracking.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure a high level of awareness of Performance Results, comparisons vs. Budgets, forecasts (and accuracy), and overall decision support.
- Lead the Management Reporting infrastructure, including KPIs, Reporting Packages, and Brand P&Ls.
- Partner with marketing/sales to provide financial support to the innovation stage gate process, including P&L modeling and partnership with Cost and Inventory Accounting & FP&A Manager to appropriately consider product costing
You will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; advanced degree and/or CPAs preferred.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience with a combination of accounting and FP consumer-packaged goods industry experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong applied knowledge of all aspects of US GAAP.
- Balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis experience, including Bank reconciliation and amortization schedules.
- Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques and proficiency with financial statement analysis and projections.
- Demonstrated proficiency using ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred.
- Advanced skills in MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Visio).
- Specifically, advanced Excel knowledge and skills.
