Straight Edge Machine Operator

Essential Functions:

• Operate Straight Edge Machines
• Efficiently perform work activities in keeping with current production, quality, safety and housekeeping standards.
• Understand safety devices including guarding and emergency stop button locations.
• Complete required production paperwork with accuracy
• Set and verify counter
• Adjust jogging stand, case taper and safely perform changeovers
• Responsible for Scalloper Set up and Cutting
• Wrap and/or pack product in cases
• Assure proper stacking of completed carton on skid.
• Know how to start up machine properly
• Understand how to web the machine correctly
• Properly Mount and adjust rolls
• Trouble shoot machine
• Perform preventive Maintenance on machine
• Responsible to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to do basic math skills
• Possesses basic communication skills
• Ability to read & comprehend instructions, memos, specifications, safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
