Our institution's Surgical Services Peri-Op Program is seeking a Full-Time Peri-Op RN to deliver safe and direct care to our patients, including Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric age groups. As a Peri-Op RN, you will work collaboratively with the healthcare team, implement and document individualized care plans incorporating age-specific considerations, including discharge planning and patient/family teaching. You'll serve as a role model by promoting a positive work environment and quality patient care, ensuring adherence to hospitals and departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering safe direct care to an assigned group of patients;
  • Working within policy guidelines;
  • Assisting with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained;
  • Participating in orientation, precepting, and evaluation;
  • Administering medication, including IV medication, via the Seven Rights;
  • Maintaining a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families;
  • Encouraging patients to actively participate in their own care.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program (essential);
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred);
  • Current RN license in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM (essential);
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification (essential);
  • Nationally Certified in area of specialty (preferred).
