As the Senior Manager of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of system modernization.<p>MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES<br />Lead a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality complex software projects on time and within budget.<br />Define and manage the software development lifecycle, including project planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.<br />Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.<br />Establish and maintain software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing methodologies.<br />Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to define project scope, requirements, and timelines.<br />Manage technical risks, identify potential issues, and proactively address them.<br />Manage budget and resource allocation for software development projects.<br />Stay up to date with the latest software development technologies, trends, and methodologies.<br />Continuously improve software development processes to increase efficiency, quality, and reliability.<br />Management responsibilities:  <br />--Typically manages through multiple Managers and/or Supervisors<br />--Oversee major projects/programs/outcomes<br />--Budget responsibility<br />--Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects; develop, recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies<br />--Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning<br />--Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies</p></div></div></div><div></div><div><div></div><div><p>MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS<br />Education <br />Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field.<p> <br />Work Experience<br />10+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 5 years of management experience leading software development teams.<p>Knowledge / Skills / Abilities<br />Strong technical skills in software design, architecture, and development.<br />Experience working in Terraform, micro-services, API, front-end technologies, architecture patterns, and design patterns.<br />Strong experience in cloud-native development and integration patterns.<br />Experience with agile methodologies and continuous delivery practices.<br />Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams<br />Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.<br />Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and modern software development practices is a plus.<br />Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.<p>PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS<br />Education <br />Master's degree in Computer Science or related field<p>More About Medline: <br />Medline is the largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of healthcare supplies in the United States, providing more than 550,000 products that serve the entire continuum of care.
