Job Description Material Handler - ( 21001258 ) Description SUMMARY: Accurately pulls orders, Move Material and stage material, Participate in accurate Inventory basics, able to continuously lift up to 40lbs, able to walk, bend, stoop, kneel and push on a regular basis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

  • Adhere to all Kawneer rules and regulations.
  • Pull orders according to pull sheet accurately and complete.
  • Able to problem solve in a team atmosphere.
  • Assist in or write material process instructions.
  • Assist and participate in the facilities Physical inventories.
  • Inspects extrusions for scratches, dents and quality during work activities.
  • Able to read work orders and follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be pulled and or moved.
  • Knowledge and ability to follow the MDR Process.
  • Able to identify material by part number and product finish.
  • Able to fill out proper paper work properly and accurately, turn in paper work to designated locations on time.
  • Physically able to pull material and completed orders in allot time frames.
  • Have good customer service relationships with upstream departments.
  • Able to get along with and have a good attitude towards all employees.
  • Able to work in other departments do to business needs, such as stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together, pull material, load material in paint, operate cranes, drive fork truck, side loader or pallet jacks, also work (farm into Fabrications and Paint depts.as deemed necessary).
  • Able to learn how to operate Mobile equipment and qualify to operate mobile equipment. Able to obtain and retain a Mobile equipment license as seen necessary by the Company.
  • Lifts objects by hand, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment. Qualifications BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Min of one year related work experience in warehousing inventory is preferred.
  • Ability to learn basic computer skills to work in JDE.
  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with other employees, Leads and Managers.
  • Ability to count, to add, to subtract and to multiply simple numbers.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with and respond to minor problems in standard work situations.
  • Ability to obtain a mobile equipment license, forklift certification, side-loader certification, electric pallet jack certification and overhead crane certification is preferred.
