Job Description: This position is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll in compliance with federal regulations, state regulations and company policies. It is also responsible for the administration and day-to-day activities related to benefits. Duties: Payroll Processing: Handle bi-weekly payroll, adjustments, garnishments, and audits for data integrity. Compliance: Ensure legal compliance with FLSA regulations and tax filings. Coordination: Resolve payroll and tax issues with payroll service and respond to payroll-related inquiries. Tax Management: Apply for tax IDs, ensure timely entry into payroll service, and stay updated on tax regulations. Year-End Processing: Oversee year-end tasks, including W-2s and tax returns. Reporting: Create and distribute various reports (OSHA, LTD/STD, etc.). 401(k) Management: Coordinate audits, validate contributions, and ensure compliance. Confidentiality: Protect employee information and ensure confidentiality. Employment Verification: Complete verifications for external requests. Bonus Management: Determine bonus-eligible salaries and maintain adjustment files. Financial Coordination: Prepare payroll journal entries and assist with budgeting and forecasting. Rewards Strategy: Plan and administer rewards programs, assess effectiveness, and develop recommendations. Benefits Administration: Implement and manage benefit plans, including open enrollment. Communication: Develop strategies to inform employees about total rewards. Procedures: Develop internal procedures for managing benefits Experience: Minimum of 7 years’ experience with automated payroll systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred) and/or benefits administration Understanding of the Regulatory and Legislative imperatives and impacts related to Total Rewards programs (FLSA, Sec 125, ERISA, 409A, HIPAA, etc.). Experience with vendor-relations and multi-state employers preferred. Experience with Canada and Mexico compensation and benefits preferred. Education: Bachelors degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting or related flied Related payroll & benefits courses/training preferred Skills: Highly proficient with hands-on processing experience for an international organization using level ADP Workforce Now experience with Time & Attendance systems knowledge. Must be comfortable using ADP Reports. Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced knowledge of MS Excel. Compliance– Strong knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulatory compliance around payroll to understand and be able to enforce standard operating procedures, with controls. In-depth knowledge of laws around garnishments, subpoenas, and payroll compliance in the US.
