MRI Technologist
Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team.
About the Role- Perform complex MRI procedures on a scheduled and emergency basis.
- Review and evaluate requisitions for MRI imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis and clinical signs for routine examinations.
- Identify patients according to Hospital Policy with 2 identifiers.
- Select appropriate equipment and technical parameters to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.
- Assess patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develop a care plan for that patients' specific needs.
- Explain the examination and answer questions from patient and parents regarding the exam and Magnetic field environment.
- Follow MR QC Exam/Data Integrity workflow expectations.
- Practice High Reliability Communication techniques.
- Provide exceptional care and service.
- Respond to the uniqueness of the patient, creating a supportive environment for the patient and the family.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining daily operations.
- Perform additional tasks as delegated by manager or Assistant/Chief Technologist.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist- MRI
- Associates Degree: Allied Health
- 3 years of experience working as an MRI Technologist.
