Senior Estimator

<strong>The Company</strong><br><br>My client operates as a leading commercial construction firm with 20 years of experience, specializing in nationwide ground-up and interior projects across various markets including fuel, restaurants, retail, offices, healthcare, and senior living.<br><br><strong>The Role</strong><br><br>The Chief / Senior Estimator is responsible for the oversight of the estimating process for all projects, and will establish standardized procedures, methods, and processes for estimating and training estimating resources.<br><br><ul><li>Analyze drawings and specifications and distribute to bidding subcontractors.</li><li>Understand contractual terms, conditions, and requirements.</li><li>Create detailed take-offs for each project and use to develop cost and analyze subcontractor proposals.</li><li>Negotiate with subcontractors to ensure each trade includes full scopes of work.</li><li>Create and maintain a cost database for labor and material pricing.</li><li>Lead preconstruction teams through the estimating, proposal, and value engineering processes.</li><li>Work with operations department to coordinate scheduling, scope coverage, and bid submittal.</li><li>Work with clients to value engineer projects within their budget.</li><li>Provide mentorship to junior estimators by assisting with coordination and sharing experience.</li><li>Enhance relationships with clients, architects, and engineers.</li><li>Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.</li><li>Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.</li></ul><br><strong>Rewards And Benefits</strong><br><br>They are looking to pay up to $150,000 per annum + benefits package.<br><br><ul><li>Medical, Dental and Vision coverages available</li><li>401-K Retirement Plan</li><li>Company Paid Life insurance for employee</li><li>Voluntary Life Insurance available</li><li>Short- and Long-Term Disability Coverages available</li><li>Accident and Critical Care coverages available</li><li>Legal Plan assistance offered</li><li>Employee Assistance Program</li><li>Paid Company Holidays</li><li>Paid Vacation Days</li><li>Paid Sick Days</li></ul><br><strong>Requirements</strong><br><br><ul><li>Minimum of 5 years' experience working for a General Contractor.</li><li>At least 5 years' experience as an Estimator in commercial construction</li><li>At least 7 Years' experience in the Commercial Construction Industry</li><li>Extensive Estimating experience in; Healthcare, Retail, Commercial</li><li>Construction site experience - good knowledge of how a construction project operates from start to finish.</li></ul>
