Here at Tafco, you will wear many different hats and be a part of an honest, hard-working, and collaborative culture with professional growth potential.<br><br><strong>Opportunity Overview:</strong><br><br>In this dynamic role, you'll take charge of completing all balance sheet reconciliations during the monthly close process, ensuring our financials are accurate and timely. You'll maintain our fixed assets and depreciation schedules and spearhead the development and launch of an internal audit program. Your expertise will be pivotal in supporting the annual budget process and preparing for auditor requests, while also handling special projects and in-depth financial analyses. Additionally, you'll manage customer remittances and credit memos, scrutinizing accounts receivable to guarantee accuracy and collectability. You'll collaborate closely with our operations team to measure, track, and resolve unexpected chargebacks, making a significant impact on our financial health and operational efficiency.<br><br><strong>The Requirements:</strong><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in accountancy from a reputable university</li><li>CPA or progress toward attainment is preferred</li><li>Public accounting experience preferred</li><li>Manufacturing or cost accounting experience a plus</li><li>5+ years of professional experience in accounting / auditing</li></ul><br><strong> Other Important Skills:</strong><br><ul><li>Outstanding written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Outstanding organizational and time management skills</li><li>Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment.</li><li>Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Outstanding Excel skills.</li><li>Attention to detail.</li><li>Experience with NetSuite preferred.</li></ul><br><strong>This role is based at our Melrose Park office and offers a hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office).</strong>
