This position will operate truck scales weighing hauling equipment in the Nome Area.<br> <b>Responsibilities</b> <br> <br> <strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES</strong> <br> <br>The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.<ul> <li>Operate scales at Sound Quarry Weighing heavy equipment.</li> <li>Keep accurate logs of all material weighed.</li> <li>Provide reports to ADOT as needed.</li></ul> <b>Qualifications</b> <br> <br> <strong>QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION</strong> <br> <br>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. <br> <br> <strong>Required (Minimum) Qualifications</strong> <br> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED</li> <li>Valid Drivers License</li></ul> <strong>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics </strong> <br> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Scale programs utilized by ADOT.</li> <li>Ability to show up on time and work extended hours as needed</li> <li>Ability to keep accurate records of material being scaled and hauled.</li></ul> <strong>Preferred </strong> <br> <ul> <li>1 year scale operating experience. </li></ul> <strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</strong> <br> <br>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.<br> <br> <strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES </strong> <br> <ul> <li>No supervisory responsibilities.</li></ul> <strong>ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS </strong> <br> <br>As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base.
