<strong>Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Registered Nurse.</strong> <br> <ul> <li> <strong>Position type: </strong>Contract position with possible perm opportunity</li> <li> <strong>Location</strong>: Cortland, NY</li> <li> <strong>Job/ Shift Hours: </strong>Full time days, Mon-Fri - 7:30am - 4pm or 8am - 4:30pm </li> </ul> <strong>As a</strong> <strong> Registered Nurse <strong>you will: </strong></strong> <ul> <li> <strong>Responsible for oversight of medical care and services for consumers in site-based Day Habilitation services through hands-on care, records review and interactions with direct support professionals and residential providers. </strong></li> <li> <strong>Provides supervision and oversight to medication administration certified staff. Ensures the delivery of medical services and medication administration are in compliance with the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) regulations. </strong></li> <li> <strong>Ensures that all aspects of medical care and services to individuals served are in compliance with the mission statement, policies and procedures, professional standards, and applicable governmental laws, rules and regulations. </strong></li> <li> <strong>Provides training for day habilitation employees on medical issues, including but not limited to TB, HIV, Hepatitis B, first aid, seizures, choking and consumer-specific medical issues. </strong></li> <li> <strong>Coordinates and facilitates the Infection Control Committee, ensuring that action items are completed and that there is a good representation of members from the Day Habilitation program on the committee. </strong></li> <li> <strong>Responds to reported incidents and investigations by ensuring the assigned required safeguards are immediately implemented and communicated and promptly follows up on all medical recommendations.</strong></li> </ul> <strong>The ideal candidate will have:</strong> <ul> <li>Must be a licensed registered nurse in the State of NY, with at least one year of clinical nursing experience. Experience with nursing in developmental disabilities services is highly desired. </li> <li>Requires a valid NYS Driver's License that meets Company standards; requires proof of NYS Insurance coverage. </li> <li>Requires clearance through a Background Check process that will include, but is not limited to, clearance through the NYS Justice Center, the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), the NYS Office of Child and Family Services, and the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles.</li> </ul> <strong>Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
