Key Responsibilities:
  • Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to patients, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct comprehensive medication reviews to identify, resolve, and prevent medication-related problems.
  • Provide patient counseling and education on medication use, adherence, potential side effects, and health maintenance.
  • Develop personalized medication action plans and ensure proper medication management and adherence.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and enhance patient outcomes.
  • Manage inventory and procurement of medications and supplies, ensuring proper storage and handling.
  • Assist patients with insurance claims, prior authorization processes, and finding cost-effective medication alternatives.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of community health initiatives and wellness programs.
  • Stay current with best practices and advancements in community pharmacy and pharmaceutical care.
  • Engage in quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's of Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
  • Experience in community or independent pharmacy.
  • State pharmacy license in good standing.
  • Proficiency in utilizing pharmacy management software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Familiarity with managing a pharmacy business, including inventory, staffing, and financials.
