6:30pm - 7:00am

In this pivotal role, you will oversee ventilatory support and deliver respiratory treatments and therapies such as aerosol nebulization and vest therapy, all while adhering to medical supervision and patient-specific needs. Central to your responsibilities will be the continuous monitoring and evaluation of patients' respiratory statuses to ensure treatment efficacy, with the flexibility to adjust plans as necessary. Operating and maintaining respiratory equipment, educating patients and their families on conditions and therapies, and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams are integral aspects of this position. Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
As a Respiratory Therapist at McGuire Memorial, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality respiratory care to our patients. This position requires a deep commitment to patient well-being and a compassionate approach to healthcare delivery.
** Key Responsibilities: **
- Administer respiratory treatments and therapies according to physician orders and patient needs, including aerosol nebulization, oxygen therapy, and vest therapy
- Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status, assessing treatment needs and formulating treatment plans.
- Determine the effectiveness of the respiratory therapy treatment plan by observing, evaluating, and documenting the patient’s progress and recommending appropriate adjustments
- Operation and monitoring of invasive and non-invasive ventilation
- Maintain and operate respiratory equipment, ensuring proper function and cleanliness.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions and treatments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adherence to regulatory standards.
** Qualifications: **
- Completion of a NBRC accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in Pennsylvania.
- BLS certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
