Job Highlights

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all receiving activities at loading dock area.
  • Review purchase orders & expected incoming product and keep records of receipt to ensure that all ordered product is received.
  • Compare delivered items to invoices received from vendors so as to make sure all items on the invoice are received.
  • Responsible for quality control of received product and being able to make decisions on whether something should or should not be received at time of delivery, assuring no damaged goods are received.
  • Manage the receipt of food purchases, paper goods, equipment and any other deliveries.
  • Responsible for coordinating with delivery drivers to receive invoices and maintain organized records of invoices.
  • Updating product inventory as items are received and filling out any paperwork needed.
  • Exhibit strong sense of urgency in all responsibilities.
  • Act as point person for cooks and front of house colleagues in locating product on site.
  • Responsible for managing the organization and cleanliness of dry storage areas and cold storage areas as well as loading dock and receiving area.
  • Lead by example to maintain high levels of teamwork and high levels of guest satisfaction.
  • Ensures compliance with cleanliness and sanitation standards in all storage and back of house areas.
  • Willing and ready to assist in other areas as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with management team onsite and company colleagues offsite.

 

Qualifications

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable source of transportation.
  • Experience in fast-paced workplace food services and/or very busy public café
  • Knowledgeable about kitchen receiving tasks & processes.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more, repeatedly.
  • Willingness to spend time outdoors in inclement weather.
  • Willingness to work in refrigeration and freezer areas while organizing inventory.
  • Ability to organize invoices, keep written records, have strong math skills, and experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • ServSafe and Allergen training and certifications required. On site training available.
  • Must be able to remain calm in a fast-paced work environment, while maintaining high quality teamwork.
  • Familiar with FIFO inventory management.
  • Strong reading and communication skills in English language required.

 

Details

  • Estimated 8 to 9 hour shifts 5 days per week. Monday – Friday. 5:00am – 2:00pm
  • Receiver reports to the Purchasing Chef and is a highly collaborative role in working with Purchasing Chef, Cooks, Chefs, Front of House colleagues, Executive Chef, Assistant General Managers, and Food Service Director
