Summary: The Radiology Technologist Care Guide manages patient interactions throughout their visit, including registration, payment collection, room preparation, and assisting with care. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, performing x-rays, and ensuring effective discharge and follow-up. Acting as a liaison, the Care Guide supports patients and their guests to enhance clinical quality, reduce treatment times, and improve the overall experience. This role involves both front office and back office tasks, working closely with providers and clinical staff, and may require flexibility to float between facilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Completion of a formal Radiography program with an associated certificate or degree.
• Licenses/Certifications: Licensed with IEMA; BLS for Health Care Providers (American Heart Association), to be completed within 2 weeks of hire. ARRT (R) registry eligible; must complete ARRT registry within 6 months of hire.
• Other Requirements/Information: Ability to float between clinics as needed.
• Skills/Knowledge: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient with computers and Microsoft software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Skills/Knowledge: Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA, experience with electronic health records and phlebotomy, knowledge of urgent care, medical terminology, and Epic. Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette, with a strong understanding of available standards, resources, and data. Demonstrates discretion, good judgment, diplomacy, decision-making skills, and a customer-focused attitude.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current certification as a radiology technician with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Current BLS for Health Care Providers certification from the American Heart Association.
