Job Summary

This position has the direct responsibility to ensure that the product manufactured, packaged and shipped to our customers conforms to all the established Quality Assurance and Quality Control Requirements. The primary responsibility for in-process mechanical inspections and receiving inspections of delivered hardware needed for inclusion into contract/project assembly and final product delivery.

  • Direct responsibility to ensure that the product manufactured, packaged and shipped to our customers conforms to all the established Quality Assurance and Quality control requirements.
  • Analyzes and interprets drawings, sample data, and other materials to determine, change, or measure specifications or inspection and testing procedures.
  • Cleans and maintains test equipment and instruments and certifies that precision instruments meet standards.
  • Perform inspections for incoming, in process using appropriate inspection tools.
  • Collects samples for testing, and computes findings.
  • Discards or rejects products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
  • Inspects materials, products, and work in progress for conformance to specifications, and adjusts process or assembly equipment to meet standards.
  • Marks items for acceptance or rejection, records test results and inspection data, and compares findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards.
  • Reviews maintenance records to ensure that plant equipment functions properly.
  • Tests and measures finished products, components, or assemblies for functioning, operation, accuracy, or assembly to verify adherence to functional specifications.
  • Monitor and control measurement and test equipment for recalls and calibration.
  • Supports the quality management system by performing internal and process audits.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by management.

Experience and Skills

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

  • CMM Operation and programming PCDMIS or similar
  • Familiar with ISO-9001:2015 and/or AS9001.
  • Experience using QMS software and ERP systems, Costpoint, Gage Trak and TIPQA, a plus.
  • High level of computer skills utilizing Microsoft applications, such as Excel, word, Power Point, a plus.
  • Familiarity with GD&T is a plus.
  • Machine Shop experience is a plus.
  • IPC-610 experience or certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

Education

  • Must have High School or trade school graduate, 3-5 years of relevant inspection experience.
  • AA degree in a technical field such as Drafting, Engineering, Machining, or Quality desired.
