Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, a community hospital which has been serving greater Brattleboro and the tri-state area since 1904 in rural southeastern Vermont, is currently seeking a Registered Physical Therapist to join our team of caregivers.
The ideal candidate is energetic, flexible and able to evaluate and treat a diverse population, including orthopedic, general medical and neurological conditions in both our inpatient and outpatient settings. The right person will be patient centered and a strong team player.
Our experienced Rehab team has a strong commitment to our community and collectively has over 200 years of service at BMH. Our team currently offers complete decongestive therapy w/ a certified MLD therapist, a pelvic health program, LSVT BIG and vestibular rehab, in addition to general orthopedic/medical care. Our large gym with multiple private treatment rooms is well-equipped to provide treatments for our patients.
Candidates who have excellent evaluation and treatment skills with the ability to make independent treatment decisions and are interested in working in a supportive environment are encouraged to apply.
POSITION SUMMARY

  • The staff physical therapist is responsible for the evaluation of a patient's physical condition and needs, and the design and implementation of a corrective treatment plan according to the principles and practice of physical therapy. This includes continuous assessment of the patient's progress and modification of the plan and goals as necessary, collaborative consultation with other health care professionals and maintenance of accurate and timely medical and business records. The physical therapist has supervisory responsibility over the clinical activities of assistants and at least one affiliated student per year. Participation in departmental quality improvement activities, community outreach and program development is also required.

QUALIFICATION
  • EDUCATION:
    • Graduate of an accredited P.T. program preferred.
  • EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS:
    • Previous experience in acute care is preferred, but entry level is acceptable.
  • LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S):
    • A State of Vermont license is required, a temporary license is acceptable on entry. CPR certification required.
