Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

· Manage the day-to-day manufacturing operations of extrusion dies.

· Responsible to maintain the shop floor in “show room” condition and regularly conduct 5-S events, Gemba walks and layered process audits to improve upon it.

· Provide all necessary resources for the achievement of defined goals and objectives.

· Ensure that the personnel are qualified and trained, as being competent for their assigned activities. Maintain a detailed cross-training plan to ensure versatility.

· Meet or exceed plant objectives and KPI’s.

· Manage process improvement projects and tool testing.

· Ensure workplace safety and quality standards are met and improved upon.

· Submit detailed daily production reports to the management team.

· Manage the lead hands from each respective department.

· Daily interaction and communication with support departments.

Required Qualifications

· General knowledge of the design of aluminum extrusion dies or similar tooling.

· General knowledge of an aluminum extrusion press or similar.

· Detailed knowledge of the various component parts in a die assembly.

· Detailed knowledge of manufacturing and engineering departments and how their operations produce various parts.

· Understanding of the ISO 9001:2015 procedures as they apply to all jobs.

General knowledge of the aluminum extrusion industry and safety standards.

Required Skills

· General Computer skills – outlook, Microsoft office, ERP/MES systems, Timekeeping

· Communication skills - both verbal and written.

· Skilled in problem solving and process improvement.

· Background in CNC construction of perishable tooling.
