The ideal candidate will have a strong background in negotiation, contract management, and vendor relations. This role is pivotal in ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and reliability in the procurement of goods and services critical to our operations.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities:</strong><br><ol><li><strong>Vendor Management:</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for materials and services.</li><li>Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential vendors.</li><li>Regularly assess vendor performance to ensure quality, reliability, and compliance with contractual agreements.</li></ul><ol><li><strong>Negotiation and Contracting:</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.</li><li>Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.</li><li>Collaborate with legal and other relevant departments to address contractual and legal issues.</li></ul><ol><li><strong>Cost Management:</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Analyze market trends and conditions to optimize procurement strategies.</li><li>Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or reliability.</li></ul><ol><li><strong>Process Improvement:</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes for efficiency and effectiveness.</li><li>Implement best practices in procurement and contribute to the development of procurement policies.</li></ul><ol><li><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration:</strong></li></ol><ul><li>Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and project management teams, to understand their procurement needs and requirements.</li><li>Provide guidance and support to ensure alignment with overall business goals.</li></ul><br><strong>Required Skills and Experience:</strong><br><ul><li>High School diploma or equivalent (such as a GED) with 7-9 years of Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist with a focus on negotiation and contracting. </li><li>Strong understanding of procurement processes, best practices, and industry trends.</li><li>Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.</li><li>Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in procurement.</li><li>Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.</li><li>Experience with capital expenditures and industrial facility construction projects.</li></ul><br><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.</li><li>CPM or CPSM Certification desired</li><li>Integrated use of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and strong working knowledge of MS office</li></ul><br><strong>How to Apply:</strong> Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter detailing their relevant experience.<br><br>Industrial Systems Consulting is an equal opportunity employer.
