General Description:

Will perform general radiographic and CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment. Takes responsibility for designated areas or procedures required. Manipulate, adjust and control the complex electronic and computerized components of the imaging system to produce patient examinations and research project while performing quality assurance procedures and evaluating system performance throughout the working day. This includes independent operation with minimal physician supervision. Works with all levels within the organization and maintains positive relationships, cooperation, communication and coordination of all activities.

Experience/Education Requriements:

Graduation from an accredited program of radiology with current registration through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and permit to practice through the State of Iowa. Mammography registration preferred, but not required. Ability to adapt to flexible work schedule and frequent interruptions. Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines on daily work and special projects. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills. Must exhibit a high degree of responsibility for confidential matters.
