<b> Key Responsibilities: </b><p>The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties, however, it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.<br /><ul><li>Demonstrate commitment to safety and performs job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.</li><li>Understand job ticket information to determine quantity, special work instructions, and any other special customer requirements.</li><li>Assist with set-ups and operation of the printing press.</li><li>Maintain high efficiency according to established rates during operation of the assigned equipment.</li><li>Troubleshoot and make decisions regarding the quality of finished product.</li><li>Complete required quality inspections and paperwork.</li><li>Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance.</li><li>Contribute to overtime needs to meet customer demands.</li><li>Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned press and surrounding area.</li><li>Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements. </li><li>Actively participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives.</li><li>Become certified as back-up Secondary Operator (must start training with operator by 6 months in position and complete training checklist by 12 months in position)</li><li>Act as Secondary Operator during vacations, leave of absences, etc., on all shifts as needed.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by management. </li></ul><p><b> Required Competencies: </b><p>Quality of Work -<br /><ul><li> Is attentive to detail &amp; accuracy, looks for improvements to work processes and takes advantage of tools &amp; resources, finds root cause to quality problems. </li></ul><p>Teamwork -<br /><ul><li> Meets deadlines and responsibilities to help team meet goals, listens to others and values opinions, promotes a team atmosphere. </li></ul><p>Integrity/Ethics -<br /><ul><li> Deals with others in a straightforward and honest manner, is accountable for actions, maintains confidentiality, demonstrates support of company values. </li></ul><p>Dependability -<br /><ul><li> Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, stays focused under pressure, meets attendance/punctuality requirements. </li></ul><p>Adaptability/Flexibility -<br /><ul><li> Adapts to change and adjusts to meet needs, is open to new ideas, takes on new responsibilities as required. </li></ul><p><b> Other Requirements (education, experience, skills/knowledge): </b><br /><ul><li>High School diploma (or equivalent) or Technical degree in Printing preferred.</li><li>Possess the ability to blend and color match ink.</li><li>Good computer skills.</li><li>Possess the ability to take direction, work with supervision, and work well within a team.</li><li>Good verbal and written communication.</li></ul><p><b> Key Responsibilities: </b><p>The following duties are normal for this position.
