Job Description
Coordinates activities of the hospital-wide Point-of-Care testing (POCT) program for bedside laboratory testing and ensures compliance of all hospital personnel with program standards. Fosters teamwork in doing whatever is necessary to maintain a smooth running POCT program. Ensures compliance with enterprise POCT program.
QUALIFICATIONS
Baccalaureate degree in clinical laboratory science, or equivalent field of study.
Prior experience in Point of Care Testing preferred but not required.
Minimum of 4-5 years experience as a CLS in an acute care setting hospital setting.
Familiar with regulatory compliance and College of American Pathologists laboratory standards.
Basic knowledge of performance improvement, education, and training principles. Basic knowledge of inventory management and equipment evaluation.
License/Certification
Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license
ASCP certification recommended.
Salary Range:
$61.20 - $91.80 USD Hourly
