The <strong>Plant Manager </strong>is responsible for providing strategic direction, management and support for all plant activities and procedures. Functions include quality, shrink, productivity, safety, building, grounds, equipment and personnel development.<br><ul><li>Ensuring compliance with company, regulatory, OSHA, industry, trade and jurisdictional standards, practices and codes.</li><li>Reviewing quality issues with products or installations and making recommendations with QA, Engineering or Director support if needed.</li><li>Reviewing monthly financial results to understand performance in relation to budgets.</li><li>Ensuring controls are in place and working to ensure effective, economical and efficient practices.</li><li>Managing talent for the purpose of developing bench strength and creating opportunities for employees to grow and advance.</li><li>Responsible for providing a safe work environment for all plant employees.</li><li>Ensuring plant compliance to all government and environmental laws, requirements and regulations.</li><li>Ensuring that endeavors to reduce plant customer complaints are ongoing.</li><li>Providing leadership through ongoing communications to plant employees and to corporate personnel.</li><li>Managing plant processes and actions within accordance of the labor agreement. Also, responsible for directing plant advertisements during labor negotiations.</li><li>Drive Capital expenditure projects by monitoring justification analysis and procedure compliance.</li></ul><br><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in food science, engineering, business, or related discipline is preferred.</li><li>10+ years of experience in a food or dairy manufacturing environment. 5+ years of leadership / plant management experience.</li><li>Knowledge of accounting controls, financial analysis and budget planning.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate people & evaluate the performance of direct reports</li><li>Must show enthusiasm, initiative, pride in work and a commitment to the organization and its mission.</li></ul>
