North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a per diem / prn nurse RN Clinic for a per diem / prn nursing job in Tupelo, Mississippi.

* Ability to perform a complete & accurate 2D Adult Echocardiogram across all main unit areas, including, but not limited to: portable & STAT echoes, cardiac observation unit, outpatient, and inpatient echoes
* Perform all modes, protocols and procedures related to of main unit echocardiography, including but not limited to: M-mode, 2- Dimensional, Spectral and Color Flow Doppler, Stress Echo, Transesophageal Echo, Pericardiocentesis, Septal Ablations, Bubble Study, Optison Contrast Protocol, Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS)
* Meet on-call needs/assignments of department
* Be available within 30 minutes when on-call; adult required, pediatric preferred
* Upload and edit echo studies timely and accurately
* Demonstrate AIDET and CARES in all interactions
* Assists with new employee orientation and training when requested
* Engage in on-going echo staff education
* Engage in organization and departmental performance improvement initiatives
* Assist in maintaining adequate inventory of supplies, as well as good stewardship of supplies
* Ability to independently perform all necessary department office functions including, but not limited to: entering and/or correcting charges, print schedule, accurately enter data into patient logbook, complete accurate McKesson reports.
* Assists in resolving discrepancies promptly
* Actively participates in correlation studies/reviews for maintenance of accreditation and intradepartmental educational purposes
* Saturday and Sunday 12 hour day shifts
* Other duties as assigned.


**Requirements:**

* Must be a registered cardiac or vascular sonographer
* BLS Required
* Basic & Advanced Cardiology classes preferred
* Detailed knowledge of cardiac anatomy, cardiac disease processes and the effect of these disease processes on the cardiac structures and blood flow required. 
* Must demonstrate the ability to perform detailed cardiac echo measurements and calculations to recognize cardiac disease processes
* Knowledge and use of computerized ultrasound and echocardiography equipment required
* Continued Education specific to Cardiology procedures and disease states required annually
* Proficiency in Tele-Tracking required
* Proficiency in adult and geriatric population while exhibiting excellent customer service
* Prepares echo lab for the following day (printing schedule, stocking supplies as needed, maintain a clean and organized work area)
* Must be proficient in McKesson Cardiology system; able to work-up and complete reports accurately and timely
