Position Summary
The School of Business at Livingstone College invites applications for a full-time Instructor or Assistant Professor position to begin in January, 2024.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The results you will deliver each day that matter most!
  • Teach 12 to 15 credit hours per semester in addition to keeping 8 office hours each semester (Fall and Spring)
  • Actively engage in student mentoring and advisement.
  • Assist in reviewing and improving Accounting Concentration Program.
  • Locate internships and job opportunities for students.
  • Uses technology to enhance student learning.
  • Attend department and division meetings.
  • Serve on college committees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Dean of the School of Business.
Education/ Experience
What you will need to be successful!
  • MBA with Concentration in Accounting from an accredited college or university. Ph.D. Degree or ABD in Accounting is preferred. Experience in teaching Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Tax Accounting, Accounting for Not For Profit Organizations, Accounting Information Systems, and Auditing is preferred. Need to have substantial work experience in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, and Taxation.
