The Office Director [OD] is responsible for the growth and profitability of the office / divisions under their direct supervision; this includes direct and indirect supervision to ensure effective operations. This person will also assist the Regional Vice President [RVP] in achieving the Annual Business Plan targets (including growth projections) for the office.<br> <br>&nbsp;<br> <br>We focus on Environmental, Health, &amp; Safety projects for our clients in MA, so we expect also this person to provide credible thought leadership in these fields (e.g.:&nbsp; Environmental Remediation, Occupational Health &amp; Safety / Industrial Hygiene, etc.).<br> <br>&nbsp;<br> <br> <STRONG> <U>Primary Duties / Responsibilities:<br></U></STRONG> <br> <br> <UL> <LI>Responsible for the profitable operation of the office and divisions under their direct supervision within the office; operations include office administration, business development &amp; revenue generation, client contact, office/division management, financial oversight, overhead management, etc.<br></LI> <LI>Responsible for achieving short and long-term goals for operations, financial performance, and profitable growth.<br></LI> <LI>Responsible for marketing the firm&rsquo;s services; this includes developing &amp; evaluating contracts as well as serving as the firm&rsquo;s responsible <EM>Point-of-Contact</EM> with specific clients.<br></LI> <LI>Act as our <EM>Practice Builder</EM> to provide leadership in planning as well as directing / implementing an aggressive, coordinated marketing/business plan to leverage existing relationships and develop new relationships to get additional work; this includes managing/expanding existing client relationships while pursuing new client relationships.<br></LI> <LI>Serve as <EM>Principal-in-Charge / Project Manager</EM> for major clients; this includes providing leadership to staff assigned to projects.<br></LI> <LI>Lead and manage Accounts Receivable [A/R] Collections efforts.<br></LI> <LI>Coordinates with the Chief Engineers, Division Managers, and other Office Directors on workforce planning / implementation &amp; adherence with QA/QC/Safety procedures within the office.<br></LI> <LI>Coordinate with upper-management and corporate leadership to enhance business development activities between regions.<br></LI> <LI>Attract experienced staff members who can also bring client relationships, strong technical credentials, and a solid reputation; this is part of building / developing a strong and effective team based upon Pennoni&rsquo;s Code of Courtesy and Personal Conduct, so this person will be expected to assist in leadership development of direct reports.<br></LI> <LI>Direct, plan, and manage the execution of office activities (including budgets, sales, cash management and overhead management).<br></LI> <LI>Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.<br></LI></UL>&nbsp;<br> <br> <STRONG> <U>Reporting Relationships:<br></U></STRONG> <br> <br> <UL> <LI>The OD reports directly to the geographical RVP.<br></LI> <LI>Direct reports include Division Managers (DM) for the divisions under their direct supervision and administrative staff in the office.<br></LI> <LI>The OD will coordinate with the RVP as well as Corporate Leadership on matters pertaining to the office (including technology management).<br></LI></UL>&nbsp;<br> <br> <STRONG> <U>Basic Requirements:<br></U></STRONG> <U>&nbsp;<br></U> <br> <br> <UL> <LI>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (or higher) in a relevant field of study (e.g.:&nbsp; Engineering, Science, Engineering, Safety Management, etc.).<br></LI> <LI>At least 12 years of professional experience working in EHS (preferably with OHS and/or IH functions).<br></LI> <LI>Active relevant credential (i.e.:&nbsp; Certified Industrial Hygienist [CIH], Certified Safety Professional [CSP], and/or Professional Engineer [PE]).<br></LI></UL>&nbsp;<br> <br> <STRONG> <U>Preferred Qualifications:<br></U></STRONG> <U>&nbsp;<br></U> <br> <br> <UL> <LI>Proven leadership skills; Management and/or Project Management experience with multi-disciplinary services is strongly preferred.<br></LI> <LI>Master&rsquo;s degree is a plus!<br></LI> <LI>Additional relevant credentials (e.g.: CHMM, Lead Inspection / Risk Assessor, Mass DLS LAA Licenses, etc.) is a plus.<br></LI> <LI>Experience with building and/or maintaining client relationships; Business Development and Marketing experience is a plus.<br></LI> <LI>Proven ability to display strategic and tactical decision-making skills simultaneously; this person needs to be able to look at the &ldquo;big picture&rdquo; in relation to project goals in order to coordinate projects effectively.<br></LI> <LI>Proficiency with basic computer systems and software; this person will be expected to use MS-Office (e.g.: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).<br></LI> <LI>Proven ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills, especially when working on a variety of projects while providing solutions to difficult issues.<br></LI> <LI>Proven ability to work independently or in a team environment while demonstrating strong character and dependability.<br></LI> <LI>Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in an energetic and challenging work environment on a variety of projects;
