About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans to address complex medical needs.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform minor surgical procedures as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York.
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
