Occupational Therapist

Blue Stone Therapy was founded in 2009 and provides contract physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology to communities in Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Are you passionate about enhancing lives? We are seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist at our new community in Osceola, IA! The Occupational Therapist participates directly in the evaluation, care plan development, and delivery of occupational therapy treatment interventions and services, in accordance with state practice guidelines. This position provides direct patient care to primarily adult and geriatric patients. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Provides screenings and evaluations to determine requirements for skilled occupational therapy intervention relative to patient’s prior level of function. Develops and implements treatment plans that focus on functional and measurable outcomes and adheres to professional standards of practice. Provides appropriate supervision for occupational therapy assistants in compliance with regulatory and company requirements. Provides documentation to maintain accuracy and quality of medical records, to comply with reimbursement guidelines, and company and facility requirements. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Successful completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program. Valid license or eligible for licensure to practice Occupational Therapy applicable state(s). Must have strong organization and communication skills, with high attention to detail.
