<b>Location: </b> Vance, AL<br> <b>Description: </b> <b>Materials Manager</b> <br> <b>Location: Vance, AL</b> <br> <b>Employment Type: Direct Hire/Full-Time</b> <br> <b>Base Annual Salary Range: $110,000-$120,000</b> <br> <b>Qualifications:</b> <br> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in a related field</li> <li>Minimum of five years of experience in logistics and materials planning</li></ul> <b>Required Skills and Experience:</b> <br> <br>As a Materials Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the materials department within an automotive seating systems operation. Your responsibilities will include:<br> <li>Inventory Management:<br> <ul> <li>Monitor shipment plans from suppliers to ensure sufficient inventory levels.</li> <li>Analyze inventory accuracy and address discrepancies promptly.</li></ul></li> <li>Supplier Relations:<br> <ul> <li>Establish and maintain effective communication with suppliers.</li> <li>Coordinate quality, delivery, and other performance objectives.</li></ul></li> <li>Ethical Supplier Relationships:<br> <ul> <li>Foster ongoing relationships with suppliers to encourage innovative ideas and cooperation.</li></ul></li> <li>Process Improvement:<br> <ul> <li>Collaborate with inter-departmental teams to drive continuous process improvement and waste reduction.</li> <li>Implement simultaneous engineering practices.</li></ul></li> <li>Budget Control:<br> <ul> <li>Manage the Material department budget effectively.</li></ul></li> <li>Staff Management:<br> <ul> <li>Interview, hire, and train staff.</li> <li>Enforce safety rules and regulations.</li></ul></li> <li>Problem Resolution:<br> <ul> <li>Address worker problems and collaborate with employees to find solutions.</li> <li>Interpret transportation and tariff regulations, shipping orders, safety guidelines, and company policies.</li></ul></li> <li>Inventory Audits:<br> <ul> <li>Coordinate physical inventory audits with accounting.</li></ul></li> <li>Supplier Relationships:<br> <ul> <li>Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate best prices for material purchases.</li></ul></li> <li>Goal Setting and Administration:<br> <ul> <li>Recommend and assist in implementing unit goals and objectives.</li> <li>Prepare cost estimates for budget recommendations and monitor expenditures.</li></ul></li> <li>Compliance:<br> <ul> <li>Implement departmental procedures to ensure compliance with TS16949 standards.</li></ul></li> <b>Bonus Qualification:</b> <br> <ul> <li> <strong>SAP Experience:</strong> Familiarity with SAP is preferred.</li></ul>If you meet the qualifications and are interested in this position, please send your qualified resume to kbarrymore@judge.com.<br> <ul> </ul> <b>Contact:</b> kbarrymore@judge.com<br> <br>This job and many more are available through The Judge Group.
