About the role Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, Material Handlers are responsible for warehouse inventory, shipping/receiving activities, and documenting product orders. The ideal candidate possesses in-depth knowledge of various warehouse software, machinery, and equipment. What you'll do as a Material Handler I

  • Load and unload inventory from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and production areas
  • Ensure all incoming delivery matches the company purchase order
  • Bring supplies to production teams using forklifts/pallet jacks
  • Store materials in assigned locations
  • Manage inventory by identifying, cataloging, and recording the location of inventory
  • Record the number of units handled and moved every day using production sheets
  • Operate various machinery including forklifts, pallet jacks and scissors lift to handle materials and inventory
  • Analyze pick sheets based on clients orders and pull the appropriate products for each order
  • Track supply levels and regularly submit purchasing recommendations
  • Contact vendors for pick-ups or returns
  • Comply with all safety and health regulations Material Handler II Added Responsibilities
  • Tracking and cataloging food waste
  • Track ingredient use and pre-batch ingredients ahead of culinary production
  • Execute weekly inventory assessment of all dry goods
  • Receive and FIFO all produce
  • Adhere to all sanitation/safety regulations in food acceptance/storage/distribution.
  • Check quality of product before signing off
  • Own tracking of order shorts
  • Communicate with all relevant departments and teammates regarding shortages or inventory concerns; help to troubleshoot and solve
  • 2+ years experience in a similar role; warehouse and food production experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and organizational compliance standards
  • Comfortability with a physically demanding position with the ability to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Flexibility and availability to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings
  • Solid organizational and communication skills
  • Tech literate; ability to operate within GSuite(Google Sheets, Google Docs) Material Handler II Requirement
  • Occupational Safety & Health Administration(OSHA) forklift certification Who you are
