THE ROLE:

Hartbeat is seeking a Designer for the in-house creative team. The designer will be a part of a creative team working across all lines of the Hartbeat business. From studios, audio, experiential, marketing, to brand partnerships - the designer will play an instrumental role in defining the visual language and storytelling of the Hartbeat brand, its properties, and partners. The designer alongside a team of creative directors, strategists, designers, and editors will create industry defining work that taps various Hartbeat initiatives into cultural conversations via custom content, breakthrough storytelling, premium integrations, and other creative marketing solutions across Hartbeat touchpoints, platforms, and experiences.

Our newly established Creative Department is responsible for servicing the entire company by helping to: • Move insights to ideas • Identify & create moments in culture that define the Hartbeat Brand • Craft compelling narratives • Push innovation across mediums • Create unforgettable fan-first experiences

RESPONSIBILITIES: • Execute the creative vision of the Hartbeat brand and create and maintain a consistent visual voice for brand assets across platforms. • Develop unique, compelling, and innovative campaigns that move the Hartbeat brand forward. • Distil the direction from a creative brief and execute day to day design, of marketing assets, decks, brand identity, across digital and at times printed media. • Create promos, graphics, and show packaging and creation of additional content for digital, online, social media and VOD platforms from concept to completion. • Collaborate with other graphic designers, editors, third-party agencies, and social team to ensure delivery of the highest quality-and brand relevant-work. • Support leadership through the design and development of new business initiatives, collateral and presentations. • Work with production, studios, and other division leads to create any needed graphics for Hartbeat original content including, but not limited to, one-sheets, decks, logos, style guides, mood boards, infographics, illustrations, treatments, etc. • Create memorable key art and designs for our series, podcasts, audiobooks, and other brand initiatives. • Manage project resourcing, always seeking to derive value and excellence from finite resourcing. • Develop work that is consistent with a brand's personality and differentiates Hartbeat from the competition. • Work fast, work hard, and can steer projects from ideas to activation, effectively completing projects of high quality within timeframe and budget. • Deliver fresh thinking, innovative creative solutions, and impactful visual storytelling. • Other design requirements as necessary. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

5+ years' experience in the Graphic Design field An excellent design portfolio with examples of branding and identity is mandatory Strong written, visual, and oral communication skills; able to prepare collateral and deliverables for senior management team Strong working knowledge of the full Adobe Creative Suite & Microsoft Office: Keynote, PowerPoint, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere. After Effects is a plus! Superior organizational skills, time management, and the ability to multi-manage and work under quick deadlines Mastery of design principles and skills in animation and typography, color theory and balance typography, imagery, and composition Experience designing for a variety of platforms Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot quickly Excellent attention to detail and a great eye for design Proficient Mac user Degree in graphic arts, visual arts, or a related creative field Approachable, collaborative, results-oriented, problem-solver who can work with minimal direction, evaluating best practices and offering effective solutions Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - not afraid to have difficult discussions Multicultural marketing and/or content experience, strongly preferred Ability to quickly pitch and execute innovative, next level concepts Some overtime and weekends required Great sense of humor, can-do attitude, and flexible with demands of a fast-paced environment Finds the laughter in everyday life and wants to keep the world laughing together!

COMPENSATION

Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and work location. In addition to the base salary, the compensation package for this role also includes a discretionary bonus, based on individual and company performance.
