A fast-growing ethanol company is looking for a <strong>Materials Coordinator/Purchasing Agent</strong> responsible for purchasing, inventory management, and vendor relations for the plant. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a deep knowledge of purchasing and inventory management practices. Working collaboratively, the new team member will enhance operational efficiency by skillfully managing the entire process of purchasing, inventory, and vendor interactions while consistently driving process enhancements.<br><br><strong>Salary + Additional Benefits: </strong><br><ul><li>$88,000-$95,000</li><li>Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance</li><li>401K - company match</li></ul><br><strong>Location: </strong>Adams, NE<br><br><strong>Type of Position: </strong>Direct Hire<br><br><strong>Responsibilities: </strong><br><br><strong>Inventory and Materials</strong><br><ul><li>Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory by ensuring successful processes are in place to track inventory flow with optimal inventory is present and ready for use.</li><li>Coordinate with the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, and other necessary personnel to ensure that materials and services support the Maintenance Schedule and other departments' needs.</li><li>Maintain accurate and timely status on all purchase orders and keep appropriate departments informed of any problems or potential problems that may cause late shipments.</li><li>Monitor the site's chemical usage; coordinate findings with appropriate department management and place chemical orders.</li><li>Oversee and coordinate inventory accuracy in conjunction with Accounting through cycle counting, appropriate inventory transactions, and physical inventory counts.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.</li><li>Perform warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of products, parts, and materials.</li><li>Operate a hand truck, forklift, or other heavy equipment to load, unload, move, or store items according to delivery or routing documents, warehouse needs, or management instructions.</li><li>Analyze, identify, and implement improvement opportunities in the inventory management function.</li></ul><br><strong>Purchasing</strong><br><ul><li>Responsible for the purchase order process from initial quote preparation to final verification as well as authorize payments for purchases and reconcile paperwork against delivered items.</li><li>Monitor and track the status of purchase orders through reporting tools to ensure the on- time delivery of all materials. Communicate any changes throughout the organization.</li><li>Manage supplier relationships by acting as the main contact for timely resolution of pricing, quality, quantity, delivery, and invoice issues.</li><li>Work with accounting, maintenance, production, and other departments to maintain proper paperwork for equipment, parts, and services purchased.</li><li>Monitor and communication significant cost structure impacts to appropriate department personnel. </li><li>Analyze, identify, and implement improvement opportunities in the purchasing function.</li></ul><br><strong>Other Essential Functions</strong><br><ul><li>Coordinate with the appropriate department personnel to assist in the development of the weekly maintenance schedule.</li><li>Assist with engineering projects as directed.</li><li>Provide input to management and suggest improvements for efficiency.</li><li>Ensure safe work practices are implemented at all times. Report any safety issue or problem to manager and EHS Manager immediately. </li><li>Perform other duties not listed herein, but which need to be accomplished to maintain safe and productive day-to-day operations within the plant.</li><li>Maintain a high level of service and work performance, promote a team environment, and maintain a pleasant work environment.</li><li>Maintain confidentiality of all records and company matters.</li><li>Promote the company in the community.</li></ul><br><strong>Requirements:</strong><br><ul><li>Associate's Degree in a related field; A combination of relevant experience and education will be considered in lieu of an associate's degree; A minimum of a High School diploma or GED is required</li><li>2 years of inventory management experience</li><li>2 years of purchasing related experience</li><li>2 years of manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural experience; Need general parts, electrical, welding, and mechanical equipment understanding; Experience in maintenance beneficial</li><li>Must be detail-oriented, have a high degree of accuracy, and superior follow-up skills</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Thorough understanding of purchasing and inventory policies and procedures</li><li>Excellent communications, organization, documentation, and time management skills</li><li>Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including MS Excel and the ability to quickly learn different software programs</li></ul><br>Due to the high volume of applications we typically receive, we regret that we are not able to personally respond to all applications.
