Direct Hire Opportunity looking to hire quickly!<br> <br>100% ON SITE<br> <br>Location: Tarboro, NC<br> <br>Pay: $24-$28/hour<br> <br>The Operations and Facilities Maintenance Technician, with a focus on extrusion equipment, plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of both production machinery and facility infrastructure. This role is responsible for maintaining the reliability and efficiency of extrusion equipment, as well as managing general facilities maintenance tasks to support uninterrupted operations.<br> <br>HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO</strong> <br> <ul> <li>Demonstrate the Core Values in daily actions, execution of tasks, and interactions with others.</li> <li>Perform preventive maintenance tasks on extrusion equipment and facility systems according to established schedules to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.</li> <li>Conduct routine inspections of extrusion machinery, identifying and addressing any mechanical, electrical, or operational issues to prevent breakdowns and maintain production schedules.</li> <li>Diagnose equipment malfunctions using various tools and techniques, and implement effective repair solutions in a timely manner to minimize disruption to production.</li> <li>Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed for specialized equipment repairs or facility maintenance projects.</li> <li>Manage general facilities maintenance tasks, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and building infrastructure, to ensure a safe and functional work environment.</li> <li>Monitor and maintain inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and supplies for both production machinery and facility maintenance needs.</li> <li>Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to promote a safe working environment for yourself and others.</li> <li>Provide training and guidance to staff as needed, sharing knowledge and best practices for equipment maintenance and facility management.</li> <li>HAVE FUN!</li> <li>Other duties as assigned by leadership.</li></ul>Requirements<br> <ul> <li>Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related field. Experience with gas injection or extrusion equipment is very desirable.</li> <li>Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems commonly found in manufacturing machinery.</li> <li>Strong understanding of extrusion processes, including material handling, heating and cooling systems, die design, and product quality control, preferred.</li> <li>Experience with general facilities maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, chillers, and building infrastructure repairs.</li> <li>Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to effectively diagnose and repair equipment and facility issues.</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.</li> <li>Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.</li> <li>Flexibility to work non-standard hours and respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed.</li> <li>Relevant technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field is a plus</li></ul>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
