Job Summary: The Yard Manager will work directly with the location manager and dispatch to ensure that the products are loaded and stored as needed, and that the job site location runs smoothly and safely. Responsibilities we’ll trust you with:
  • Load and unload trucks with forklift or by hand
  • Verify accuracy of inbound and outbound freight
  • Maintain and organize lumber yard and warehouse
  • Assist customers with pick-ups and returns while providing exceptional customer service
  • Coordinate with purchasing team to maintain adequate inventory levels
  • Schedule and direct others to build loads as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Your area of knowledge and expertise:
Preferred qualifications:
  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2-3 years of industry and job experience
  • Forklift certification
Skills:
  • Ability to get the job done independently as well as work through others
  • Customer Service oriented
  • Problem solving – diagnosing and rectifying problems as they arise
  • Good listener and communicator
  • Organization and time management
  • Ability to execute tasks as needed in a high-pressure environment
  • Takes pride in completed works
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent Carrying and lifting requirement - Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
  • Frequent standing, pulling pushing
  • Work Environment: works in a variety of outside weather conditions
