The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing students, staff and community with an attractive, safe, and comfortable environment in Dunklin R-5 schools and facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Education/Experience
General building and grounds and maintenance skills sufficient to effectively serve a building complex would be helpful.
Needs Valid Drivers Licence
Starting Date: Immediately upon approval
Benefits: District Paid Health, Life, and Dental Insurance, Employees will be offered, on a fee basis, in-district childcare for ages birth through two with preschool available from ages 3 to 5. - Complete general labor, maintenance and delivery responsibilities throughout the school district.
- Complete tasks in specific trade areas sufficient to deal with complex maintenance problems.
- Report immediately to the director of maintenance any damage to school property and any major repairs needed.
- Basic electrical knowledge.
- Basic plumbing knowledge.
- Work long-term assignments at specific school sites as needed.
- Undergo such training as deemed necessary by the director of maintenance to maintain skill levels in area of responsibility.
- Comply with all Dunklin R-5 School Board of Education policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Maintenance.
