Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager will supervise the efficient maintenance and operation of our facilities, machinery, and equipment. In addition to managing a team of maintenance technicians, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, managing waste systems, and fostering positive vendor relations. This role will also involve supervising the implementation of preventative maintenance tasks and using predictive maintenance software to optimize machinery and equipment performance.

 

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all facility-related matters, including building maintenance, machinery upkeep, and environmental management.
  • Lead and manage the maintenance team, including technicians, supervisors, and contractors, to ensure effective execution of maintenance activities.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Be responsible for the implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance programs to identify and address potential equipment issues before they increase.
  • Coordinate with production, engineering, and other departments to prioritize maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to production schedules.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, including forecasting, cost control, and resource allocation, to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Monitor equipment performance and reliability metrics, analyze data, and implement corrective actions to improve equipment uptime and reliability.
  • Find opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives within the maintenance department.
  • Ensure compliance with safety laws and promote a culture of safety among maintenance team members.
  • Develop and mentor maintenance staff, providing training and guidance to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Handle waste systems and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
  • Implement preventative maintenance programs and use predictive maintenance software to optimize machinery and equipment performance.
  • Plan and manage facility projects, upgrades, and renovations, including HVAC/R and electrical systems.
  • Facilitate vendor selection for contract services and maintain positive relationships with contractors and vendors.
  • Develop and implement cost-reduction initiatives to optimize facility engineering and maintenance operations.
  • Develop long-term facilities management plans to ensure the ongoing efficiency and functionality of the facility.

 FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED: 

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in plant maintenance or facilities management.
  • Experience with project management related to manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Proficiency in 3-phase power, compressed air systems, building water systems, and HVAC/R systems.
  • Experience in building/office renovations and managing outside contractors.
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART: 

  • Seven (7) or more years of relevant experience, including facility renovations or capital improvement projects.
