ARCHITECT

Job Description

       Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate independent work requiring judgment, initiative, and experience in the application and adaptation of architectural techniques
  • Coordinate technical issues with other disciplines, customer organizations, or projects
  • Expertise and guidance in architectural design, and the resolution of architectural technical, code, regulatory, and safety issues
  • Manage special tasks and provide leadership, training, and consultation to co-workers.
  • Conduct construction document reviews as required
  • Assist in the preparation of task estimates; perform studies and prepare analysis as required
  • Interface with other design/construction disciplines, customers, as necessary
  • Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications is required

Basic Job Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to architectural design
  • Bachelor of Architecture with a combined 6-8 years’ professional architectural experience (nuclear preferred) in relevant design/field experience required
  • Registered Architect with current state registration. National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) preferred

 

SENIOR ARCHITECT
