 Landscape Manager

 

Sales 

  • Create schedule of approved work  
  • Communicate date of install to customer and  NCTC staff
  • Communicate with NCTC personnel involving the project about any info/concerns related to job
  • Assisting with quoting, job needs or meeting on site for pricing/quoting assistance
  • Assist team members and double check job quotes to be completed and correct
  • Follow up with clients for proposed work and meeting on site when required
  • Follow up with measurements 
  • Revise quotes
  • Revise plant materials and materials list as provided and adjust if necessary prior to order
  • Follow with Sales or NCTC representative involved in project for any questions or concerns that may arise during install process
  • Follow up with customers for satisfaction when job is complete

 

Production

  • Inspect sites for readiness and measure for sod and materials if required
  • Order materials required and set up deliveries as necessary 
  • Review materials, measurements and requirements or any other needs prior to start of install 
  • Follow up with hardscape jobs (Ryan) for landscape completion if needed
  • Coordinate with other contractors and/or clients when needed
  • Provide direction, guidelines and/or training for projects as needed and work with crews when necessary
  • Set up daily jobs, crews and equipment for production
  • Inspect and follow up on proper safety measurements for crews, equipment, proper load of materials, and operation (daily)
  • Assist crews in setting up the job and lay out as necessary 
  • Ensure job/contract/employee compliance depending on the project
  • Picking up materials or plant material when needed or missed on quotes
  • Follow up with any missing materials or tools 
  • Follow up with crew for progress, completion time, and deadlines
  • Inspect for quality and thoroughness of job in progress
  • Make sure crews are coming back safely and in a timely manner 
  • Follow up with crew leaders for proper documentation and fuel logs of the jobs/equipment 
  • Inspect and follow up on proper equipment operation and maintenance and repairs as needed

 

Personnel 

  • Follow up and implement payroll for weekly pay
  • Follow up with employees attendance, attire, and behavior 
  • Ensure employees compliance with company policies
  • Serve as a liaison between HR and employees
  • Conduct safety tailgate topics on a regular basis 
  • Provide employees with feedback, instructions and training as building tool for a career path
  • Conduct employee reviews and disciplinary action
  • Offer employees feedback and encouragement for morale building

 

Administrative 

  • Ensure proper pricing of jobs to be produced and set up budget hours for jobs
  • Track all job expenses and income in spreadsheet provided
  • Attend monthly company meetings 
  • Attend weekly check-ins
  • Attend on site meeting with clients when required 
  • Provide ownership with regular updates on job progress - completion and billing info or changes
  • Provide ownership with regular updates on personnel, production, needs/requirements or equipment as needed
  • Make sure in contact with office to get work deposits
