Celebrate the Children is seeking an experienced and dedicated Land & Buildings Manager to oversee and manage the maintenance and operations of our school facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure that our environment remains safe, clean, and conducive to the educational needs of our students and staff. This role is crucial in maintaining the day-to-day functionality and long-term planning of our facilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and overall functionality of the school’s buildings, grounds, and equipment.

  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure the proper functioning of all facilities and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of custodial and maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

  • Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors, ensuring quality work and adherence to budget and timelines.

  • Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions for maintenance and repairs.

  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address potential issues before they become significant problems.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to facilities management and school safety.

  • Collaborate with school leadership to plan and execute facility upgrades and expansions in alignment with the school’s strategic goals.

  • Respond promptly to facility emergencies and issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize disruption to school operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Land & Grounds Manager or in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting.

  • Strong knowledge of facilities management principles, including maintenance procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.

  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with staff, contractors, and vendors.

  • Proficiency in using facilities management software and tools.

  • Ability to respond to emergencies and urgent situations in a calm and efficient manner.

  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
