We are hiring a Kentucky Board of Cosmetology Liaison to our growing team! The Kentucky Board of Cosmetology Liaison Maintains a professional and thorough working relationship with the KBC, NACCAS, DOE and other pertinent state and federal agencies. Build relationships that lead to growth opportunities. Demonstrate a high level of program knowledge to assist students. Work effectively with co - workers as part of the student services team to ensure each student's experience with SEBA is professional, service - focused and productive

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate between different agencies & organizations Enrolling students in the Kentucky Board of Cosmetology Applying for KBC student permits 
  • Submitting all required student documentation to KBC Submitting payment for each student's permit fee 
  • Submitting all LOA documentation to KBC 
  • Tracking LOA begin/end dates & adjusting student status' in FAME accordingly 
  • Withdrawing students within FAME and the KBC 
  • Graduating students within FAME and the KBC 
  • Submitting to KBC monthly hours for each student to be certified 
  • Submitting to KBC documentation to support change of status, name or address changes 
  • Preparing & compiling NACCAS audit reporting documentation 
  • Preparing & compiling FAME audit reporting documentation 
  • Compiling & submitting data for IPEDS - Integrated Postsecondary Education Data Systems Surveys 
  • Ensuring prompt & efficient handling of telephone/email 
  • Preparing & implementing of SEBA policies & procedures 
  • Ensuring the implementation of record - keeping and data retrieval systems to 
  • accurately & effectively maintain records 
  • Maintaining & updating personnel records 
  • Coordinating purchases & maintaining inventory of office and school supplies & equipment 
  • Keeping Quality Improvement Employee Meeting Minutes 

Key Experience and Education Needed:

  • Associate Degree preferred or 2 years related experience 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other office management tools and applications, including Freedom (FAME) 
  • Must stay abreast of and abide by all policies and procedures set forth by the KY Board of Cosmetology, as well as policies and procedures pertaining to the teaching of students set forth by NACCAS and the Department of Education. 
  • Must maintain knowledge of and adhere to SEBA's: Mission and vision statements student satisfactory academic progress policy student code of conduct grading policies & criteria 
  • Must attend all staff and advisory meetings. 
  • Responsible for meeting and maintaining requirements for designated position certifications
