Job Title: Inside Sales Customer Service & Support

Department: Sales

Reports To: Inside Sales Manager

Purpose of this Job:

This is an inside sales customer support role helping to coordinate the orderly flow of orders from our customer base.

* Special Consideration. This position is key to the weekly sales cycle and will assume an important role on the Sunday schedule. Consequently, the work schedule is Sunday through Thursday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  1. Provide support to existing client base on a daily basis.
  2. Responsible for checking & receiving all remote orders transmitted daily.
  3. Reviews Chain Accounts orders for accuracy and makes substitutions on key food service items.
  4. Responsible for answering the telephone & retrieving messages from the Customer Service voice mail system.
  5. Maintains all CSR Guides for Chain Accounts.
  6. Responsible for learning and being well versed in S2K, the 400, PowerSell, PowerNet and PowerMoblile programming.
  7. Maintain good customer relations by displaying exceptional people skills.
  8. Retain and grow knowledge of product mix, company specifics and knowledge of customers.
  9. All other duties as assigned.

Equipment used in the Job:

Basic use of computer, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Educational Requirements:

Minimum of a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.

Experience:

Prior experience in a customer service role is preferred.

Reasoning Ability:

Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages.

Analytical skills as well as financial aptitude.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, directions.

Ability to follow written and verbal directions.

Ability to talk to others (internal customers/coworkers) to convey information effectively and professionally.

Typical Physical and Mental demands of the Job:

Concentration, attentiveness, independent judgment and discretion, manage multiple tasks, read and comprehend instructions and work orders. Must be able to see, hear, bend, and stoop. Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.

Work Environment:

Basic office environment. Extended periods of sitting, while working directly interfacing computer screen and using the telephone. Will spend the majority of the day with immediate and direct customer contact in a faced paced environment.

Other Considerations:

Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and interact professionally with internal and external customers. Must be able to follow chain of command.
