SUMMARY: The Clinical Manager is directly responsible for the coordination and supervision of the day to day patient care operations of Home Care or After-Hours, to include personnel, quality of care, and compliance with Hospice Savannahs, state and federal regulatory policies and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, current Georgia Registered Nursing License required, BSN preferred with experience in hospice, oncology, or home health.

Minimum of three years of management or supervisory experience to include supervision and evaluation of staff and healthcare financial management preferred. Knowledge of Joint Commission standards, state and federal regulations regarding care and reimbursement required with hospice specific knowledge preferred.

Excellent communication, customer service, leadership and critical thinking skills required to include conflict resolution, the ability to motivate others, and training/development of direct reports. Must possess the ability to consume, absorb, analyze, and distribute large amounts of information to direct reports.

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records, CPR certification, valid driver's license, automobile Insurance and reliable transportation required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Position requires moderate to intense visual concentration, reading, using a computer and reviewing patient charts. This position has daily contact with patients, families, medical facilities, physicians, physician office staff, vendors/suppliers and HSI staff requiring excellent communications and problem solving skills and professional demeanor. This position carries a risk of exposure to infectious diseases, requires skill in standard safety precautions and the mobility to ambulate or lift a patient with or without the assistance of devices in excess of 75 pounds using proper body mechanics.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position works a 40-hour workweek, to include after-hours and weekend rotations, to manage the department, attend meetings or functions. The position is required to be on rotation for clinical admin on-call. This position requires some commuting between the Hospice Savannah facilities utilizing a personal vehicle. This position encounters stressful situations with patients and their families regarding end of life care and the Clinical Manager must be able to accurately, timely and concisely document the patient/family encounter using a computer.
