<b>Job Details:</b> <br> <br> <b>SUMMARY</b>: Responsible for ensuring compliance with the company's HACCP, SSOP, Animal Welfare, and GMP programs by completing the necessary paperwork along with ensuring product adheres to Tecumseh Poultry and USDA guidelines. <br> <br> <b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:</b> <br> <ul> <li>Inspect and audit products for adherence of Tecumseh Poultry and USDA guidelines</li> <li>Data collection and record keeping activities</li> <li>Performs all necessary SSOP monitoring and completes all paperwork.</li> <li>Perform necessary HACCP monitoring of the birds and completes necessary paperwork</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul> <br> <b>ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:</b> <br> <ul> <li>In the absence of a FSQA technician I, a trained FSQA technician will take on all quality and food safety related duties conducted by a FSQA technician I.</li></ul> <br> <b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b> <br> <ul> <li>Ability to communicate FSQA standards with production associates, maintenance associates, USDA, management and other FSQA techs</li> <li>Ability to work safely and effectively</li> <li>Ability to work efficiently at a fast pace; managing time while meeting scheduling requirements</li> <li>Must be able to work independently and make decisions</li> <li>Willingness to function as part of a team and work toward team goals</li> <li>Eagerness to learn new ideas</li> <li>Preparedness to assist in other areas of production and work overtime as required</li></ul> <br> <b> Education and/or Experience:</b> <br> <ul> <li>Experience in a meat processing facility preferred</li> <li>High School diploma or equivalent preferred</li> <li>Basic computer knowledge required</li> <li>Must be able to perform basic arithmetic and calculations</li></ul> <br> <b>Communication Skills:</b> <br> <ul> <li>Must be able to communicate effectively</li></ul> <br> <b>Physical Requirements / Environment: </b> <br> <ul> <li>Rarely (0-1 hrs.): climb or work at unprotected heights (ladder or production stand), kneel, crouch or crawl</li> <li>Occasionally (1-3 hrs.): lift/carry (up to 45 lbs.), sit, bend/stoop, squat, push/pull (up to 100 lbs.), balance</li> <li>Frequently (3-6 hrs.): lift/carry (up to 10 lbs.), simple/firm grasping, reach above shoulder, fine manipulation/keyboarding, twist/turn</li> <li>Continuously (6-8 hrs.): stand/walk, work around moving machinery, exposed to marked changes in temperature, around and amongst poultry dust and odor as well as chemical fumes, work in wet/humid environment or cold environment less than 40&bull;F, talk and hear, use 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses</li></ul> <br> <b>Rehiring Criteria: Applicant must not have worked for Tyson more than a total of 3 times prior.
