Fire Sprinkler Fitter

This position is responsible for configuring, installing, fitting, and maintaining various piping systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of those systems. *Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities: * * Plans, prepares, installs, and maintains piping and plumbing systems composed of various materials; systems may include pipes, pressure and vacuum gauges, pipeline filters, steam traps, and strainer valves. * Consults blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions; creates working procedure based on specifications. * Welds, cuts, bends, threads, solders, and fits pipes. * Attaches pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets, bracket systems, or clamps, cuts or bores holes prior to project. * Installs various types of insulation and pipe covering; safely removes and properly discards of old coverings according to hazardous waste procedures and in accordance with EPA and OSHA requirements. * Inspects pipes, testing for pressure and leaks; reports and/or resolves problems. * Coordinates with manager to schedule machinery maintenance, repairs, and installation to minimize disruption to operations. * Perform other duties assigned by management. *Education/Qualifications: * * 4+ years of Fire Sprinkler Fitter experience required * Ability to read schematics and blueprints. * Ability to use a variety of tools, which may include blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches. *Other Duties:* * Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy. * Performs other duties as assigned. *Physical Requirements:* * Prolonged periods standing and stretching to install and repair pipes and pipe fittings. * Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. * Must possess visual acuity required to inspect piping systems and read plans or blueprints. #IndeedHP *Benefits and Perks:* * Excellent pay * Medical, dental, vision * Company paid life insurance * Company paid short term disability * 401K with employer match * Paid vacation and company holidays * Company vehicle (if job applicable) Pye Barker Fire and Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer<img src="https://counter.adcourier.com/YmJnZW5lcmljLjU0OTMyLjEyNTI0QHB5ZWJhcmtlcmNvbXAuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif">
