General Accountabilities

  • Completes preventative maintenance requirements in a high quality and timely manner following the associated documentation, diagrams, schematics, operation manuals, etc., and documents its completion compliantly.
  • Provides emergency/unscheduled (reactive) repairs of production and facility equipment and machinery, as needed
  • Inspects, troubleshoots, or tests equipment and machinery to diagnose machine malfunctions and efficiently performs corrective maintenance to bring equipment and machinery back into a safe, running, and reliable state.
  • Performs preventative or reactive maintenance in a clean room environment utilized for the handling and manufacturing of highly potent materials. Proper gowning and PPE to be used.
  • Schedules maintenance and/or other facility or equipment activities with 3rd party vendors and manages activities when performed. Works to identify requirements to perform activities in house.
  • Manages inventory of identified critical spares.
  • Identifies and orders required parts, supplies, and/or equipment required to perform reactive/corrective maintenance.
  • Assists with the modification and upgrade of equipment to meet production and safety standards; including the design or assistance in the design of modifications and/or upgrades.
  • Performs calibration of equipment, as needed.
  • Performs routine walkthroughs of facilities to inspect for alarms and proper operation of utility equipment and BMS.
  • Ability to share 24/7 on-call duties with other maintenance and/or facility personnel. Performs power outage walkthroughs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

      • High school diploma or equivalent; electrical or applicable mechanical certificate preferred
      • 3 – 5 years of related experience
      • Working knowledge of extruders, screw feeders, pelletizers, and process chillers
      • Advanced understanding of electrical and mechanical controls and/or other systems
      • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
      • Familiarity in reading control schematics, loop diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, etc.
      • Experience in medical device/pharmaceutical regulated environment is preferred
      • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical GMPs and FDA regulations is preferred
      • Experience operating a forklift
      • Working knowledge of computers and electronic maintenance management systems
      • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
      • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
      • Ability to work in clean room, pharmaceutical manufacturing environments including the use of gowning and other PPE including but not limited to the use of PAPRs
      • Must pass a baseline medical and pulmonary test

Compensation details: 28.75-40 Hourly Wage
