Electrical Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift - Tecumseh, NE

<b>Job Details:</b> <br> <br>The electrician is in charge of the design, testing, implementation, and controls of all new and existing electrical systems in the plant, water treatment area, and all external buildings; overseeing all electrical changes that take place on site and direct the maintenance associates involved.<br> <br> <b>Hours:</b> 1st Shift<br> <br> <b>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</b> <br> <ul> <li>Design and implement all electrical systems for new installations</li> <li>Maintain all motor control centers ensuring that they are up to code in all areas</li> <li>Maintain camera system</li> <li>Design, implement, maintain, and upgrade all PLC systems and develop automation plan</li> <li>Install conduit and run wire for all new and old work in accordance with NEC</li> <li>Plan all lighting changes and follow through to completion</li> <li>Ensure that all external electrical lighting and outlets are operational</li> <li>Inspect grounding system for the plant on an annual basis</li> <li>Work within safety guidelines at all times</li></ul> <br> <b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b> <br> <ul> <li>Licensed Journeyman Electrician preferred</li> <li>Excellent attention to detail</li> <li>Willing to work overtime as required</li> <li>Excellent time management skills</li> <li>Self-starter with innovative ideas and excellent follow through</li> <li>Proven leadership ability</li> <li>Able to learn new processes with minimal supervision</li> <li>Ability to use hand tools and trades type tools</li> <li>Strong mechanical background required.</li></ul> <br> <b>Requirements:</b> <br> <ul> <li> <b>Must have a minimum of 1-year of Facility Maintenance and/or Automotive Mechanic experience documented in the work history section of the application or a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program. (Can be a combination of education and employment as long as experience is at least 1 year).</b></li></ul> <br> <b>Education and/or Experience:</b> <br> <ul> <li>Licensed Journeyman electrician with 3 years industrial experience preferred</li> <li>Electrical Engineering degree can be used in place of experience requirement</li> <li>Trained in programming and troubleshooting PLCs</li> <li>Trained in Maintenance CMMS and Autocad</li> <li>Competent computer skills with working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and Projects</li></ul> <br> <b>Communication Skills:</b> <br> <ul> <li>Must be able to communicate effectively.</li></ul> <br> <b>Physical Requirements / Environment: </b> <br> <ul> <li>Stand/Walk: Continuously throughout shift</li> <li>Lift/Carry: Frequently (1-10 lbs), Occasionally as required with assistance (up to 35-50 lbs.)</li> <li>Other Physical Requirements:<ul> <li>Frequently; bend/stoop, squat, crawl, climb, reach above shoulder (2-3 ft.), crouch, kneel, push/pull, grasp</li></ul></li> <li>Environment: working around moving machinery, in areas with marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to dust and fumes, occasionally working at unprotected heights, around and amongst dead birds and a strong chicken odor, some tight or confined space areas</li></ul> <br>Rehiring Criteria: Applicant must not have worked for Tyson more than a total of 3 times prior.
