JOB DESCRIPTION

The working hours for this position would be one of the following options; 10:00AM - 6:00PM, 11:00AM - 7:00PM, or if you prefer a shift that is in the evening, we are able to accommodate that as well.

Under the direction of the Managing Clerk and Assistant Managing Clerk, the New York Office is seeking a Docketing Clerk. The primary focus for this role is electronic filing, docketing and calendaring. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing, of legal documents, maintaining compliance with court rules, and supporting various other assigned projects. Candidates must have at least 3+years of experience working in a Managing Attorney or Clerk's Office, with experience in electronic filing with the Federal and New York State judicial court systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES Perform electronic court filings for state and federal district and appellate courts for state, federal and appellate courts. Docket and calendar the Firm's litigation and IP litigation cases. Ensure accurate and complete data entry of relevant information into the docketing system. Monitor and track deadlines, court dates and other critical events. Search cases using the software and internet resources as necessary. Assist with other administrative projects or provide other general back-up support as necessary. Receive, review, and process various legal documents such as pleadings, court orders, contracts, and other related materials. Liaise with attorneys, paralegals and other legal staff to obtain necessary information and provide updates on case statuses. Collaborate with other departments for cross-functional projects and initiatives. Ensure compliance with legal procedures and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate and organized records of all legal documents. Assist in legal research tasks as needed. Provide administrative support to the MCO team and legal team as needed. SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Proficient in using docketing software e-Dockets, CompuLaw, CourtAlert. Excellent verbal, written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. Experience with federal, state and local court systems, including electronic filing systems (i.e. NYSCEF, NextGen, PACER, et al.) General level of knowledge of court rules and procedures in New York state and federal courts. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Excellent organization and time management skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is preferred. Ability to collaborate with others. Good judgment. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

3 years of experience in an electronic filing, docketing or legal administrative role. High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. Additional legal coursework or certification is a plus. Notary public a plus.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000 and represents the Firm's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at this time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, and locations. This range is specific to our New York City office and may not be applicable to other locations.
